Gorilla trek in the mystic Bwindi · Community cultural trail · Start from Kigali or Entebbe
One of the best experiences that can create permanent memories is a complete 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking adventure in the mystic Bwindi. Journey into the great rainforest of Bwindi, home to half of the mountain gorillas in the world. This tour is carefully designed to give you a great opportunity to see other primates, mammals, birds and different tree species. Seeing the giant gorillas in their natural habitat is a humbling experience; trekking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. This unique adventure includes all the essentials: a guaranteed gorilla permit, private ground transfers, accommodation options, a professional driver guide and necessary government taxes.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or Kigali International Airport, the driver guide will pick you up for a scenic and breathtaking drive to Bwindi. You will drive through the undulating hills of the countryside, magnificent views with lots of green vegetation, vibrant tea plantations and the local charm of village people to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner.
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing about how to behave and interact with the gorillas in the wild. The ranger guide will then lead you to start your gorilla adventure, trekking in search of the habituated gorilla family. Once you meet the gorillas, you will spend up to 1 hour with them, watching their interactions and feeding behaviour, before you start your descent back to meet your driver guide. You will go for another adventure on the cultural trail in the community before retiring for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Enjoy your breakfast at leisure, then transfer to Kigali or Kampala, which marks the end of your safari.
