Trip overview

The 3 Day Volcano Gorillas and Batwa Experience Safari takes you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which covers 3 of the Virunga Volcanoes and is a rich yet subtle haven for wildlife. With a size of 33.7 sq km, Mgahinga features Mount Muhavura (4,127m), Mount Gahinga (3,474m) and Mount Sabinyo (3,645m). The other highlights are the golden monkeys. Trekking mountain gorillas in Mgahinga gives you a unique gorilla viewing adventure, as you trek in the Virunga hills with mainly bamboo vegetation, thus greater viewing opportunities with clear and better photographic moments.
