Detailed itinerary
Day 2: Full day in the Masai Mara
Full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, looking for the Big Five and big cats.
Day 3: Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives, with an optional hot-air balloon flight at dawn or a Maasai village visit.
Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Drive to Lake Naivasha. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to see hippos and fish eagles, then walk among giraffes, zebras and wildebeest on Crescent Island.
Day 5: Hell’s Gate or relax at Naivasha
Optional cycling or walking in Hell’s Gate National Park, or a relaxed day by the lake.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Long scenic drive south to Amboseli, arriving for an evening game drive.
Day 7: Full day in Amboseli
Game drives among large elephant herds, swamps and Observation Hill, with the best Kilimanjaro views early in the morning.
Day 8: Return to Nairobi
Morning game drive, then drive back to Nairobi for your onward journey.
