Uganda offers some of Africa’s most exciting freshwater fishing. The stretch of the Nile below Murchison Falls is famous for huge Nile perch, while Lake Victoria and the source of the Nile in Jinja are popular for tilapia and perch.
Fishing trips are led by experienced local guides who know the best spots, and most operate on a catch-and-release basis to protect fish stocks.
